Rock Climbing

Rock climbing is getting very adventure sport in Nepal. Being a mountainous country, there are many perfect places in Nepal for rock climbing. There is a rock climbing spot in Nagarjun hill very near by the Kathmandu valley, the capital of Nepal. Climbers who have shorter time they can enjoy the rock climbing in Nagarjun that falls under the Shivapuri National Park. To reach at the bottom of the Nagarjun hill we take 30 minutes drive or ride on mountain bike from the city and another 30 minutes uphill hike till the climbing point.

Hattiban is another rock climbing spot in south of Kathmandu valley. This is a high climbing spot where the skilled climbers enjoy most. This is a one day package. Drive, lunch and short relax in the beautiful Hattiban hill is included in the package.

Rock climbing areas in Nepal:

  • Nagarjun Forest – 20 minutes drive from Kathmandu
  • Hattiban – 1 hour drive from Kathmandu
  • Bimal Nagar – 20 minutes drive from Bandipur
  • Nagarkot – This bolted climbing area is hard to find without a guide.
  • Namche Bazaar – Bouldering field is 30 minute walk; ask local how to get there
